 Each school year, Teachers' Insurance Plan™ recognizes one teacher in each state for the contribution he/she has made toward the betterment of his/her school, students or educational community. Gayle Haerling at Raymond Elementary has been recognized as the Teachers' Insurance Plan Teacher of the Year for Washington, 2009. Gayle was nominated for her work with staff and students in the Read Right Program. Gayle was an integral part of the implementation of Read Right across the district. Ms. Haerling has been an educator in the Raymond School District for 32 years.
