Raymond Schools Foundation was organized to provide a way to help improve the educational programs in our new schools. Over the past ten years Raymond voters approved $8.7 million, which combined with $6.5 million state support ($15.2 million total), produced the new elementary and Jr. /Sr. high schools. Now we want to step forward and help the students and staff who occupy these new schools. We believe there are many Raymond alumni-friends who also want to step forward to help. We hope you are one of them. Your gifts are tax deductible. Three funds have been established to give you maximum gift options:
  • RAYMOND SCHOOLS ALUMNI-FRIENDS FUND - This is the main RSF fund that will help improve the K-12 instructional and activity programs.
  • STUDENT SCHOLARS FUND - This student fund is targeted to good students who come from families that cannot afford extra costs of activities.
  • INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM FUND - Donors can select a specific program to support. Our first priority is academic student and staff instructional programs. However, one of the first projects is to help complete the school improvements with a new athletic field - a 1000-seat covered grandstand, field lights, and an all-weather rubberized track.

In the past, RSF has made large donations to benefit the athletic field and the elementary playground. During the 2008-09 school year, the foundation awarded grants in support of the following:

  • ASB officer training retreat
  • Drama class attendance to production of Disney's Lion King
  • Art supplies for jewelry class
  • Sammy Seagull mascot uniform
  • Cheerleader game boxes
  • Cheerleader camp
  • Supplies for high school math class
  • Materials for alternative education in business
  • Medical and science
  • Elementary library book purchases
  • 3 kindergarten learning centers
  • 1st grade laptop
  • 2nd grade Read Right books
  • 4th grade News Bowl
  • 5th grade writing supplies
  • Science videos for elementary
  • Elementary principal's fund
We are very excited about this opportunity to improve the educational program for Raymond students and assist staff in presenting their programs. One other request is the SEAGULL SOCIETY membership. We need your sup¬port to build a large membership of alumni-friends. It will help us communicate with you. It will demonstrate high support to our potential grant sources and large donors.
